Project Manager - Strategic Analytics
Project Delivery:
The successful candidate’s core responsibility will be to manage the high-quality delivery of Strategic Analytics and IT Strategy consulting projects to FA clients. That responsibility includes:
- Adopting an “active listening” posture to understand core client problems
- Framing core client issues in a way that can be addressed by applying FA capabilities
- Articulating for clients the strategic role analytics can play in high-stakes decisions
- Creating results-based plans to address client needs with explicit goals for success)
- Defining project structure and roles consistent with the growth trajectory and professional goals of team members
- Efficiently allocating and managing appropriate resources, including FA team member, client staff, and external partners
- Leveraging the time and expertise of senior members of the team, and appropriate experts throughout the firm
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team member
- Managing day-to-day interactions with clients
- Iterating on project plan and adjusting for necessary changes
- Distilling, documenting and presenting results
Firm Project Management Standards:
The successful candidate will also serve as a model of excellence in project management for the entire firm. Their firm-building role will include:
- Adopting an “active listening” posture to understand core client problem
- Championing the development of ”Best in Class” Project Management tools, processes and methodologies for application across FA projects
- Driving PM standards and operational efficiency through continual process improvements, implementing standard project management approaches, and maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of FA PM technology
- Introducing and monitoring the effectiveness of project management disciplines and tools across the firm
- Consistently modeling project management standards to improve the entire firm’s effectiveness in project delivery

Position Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong consulting, quantitative analysis and technology background with:
- 5+ years experience in strategy / management consulting, with a track record of personal growth and experience managing teams of consultants
- Background IT management strategy and governance, Master Data Management, and technology project management
- Experience in applying data analytics to consulting problems, with a quantitative background provided by a degree in a field such as economics, business, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science, or another quantitative discipline
- Financial Services Industry experience strongly preferred
He or she will have a proven capability to:
- Apply analytic principles in complex contexts (e.g. cross-functional, high risk, large scope)
- Articulate and make visible to clients the relationship between IT functions and effective decision-making through analytics
- Think creatively about addressing unique business problems
- Articulate and teach key principles to team members and clients
In addition, he/she will be:
- Honest and ethical
