GNIEWKO LUBECKI, Consultant
Gniewko is a solution-centric technologist with a robust background in data analysis, information technology and business, with extensive experience in data mining and statistical analysis of large data sets. Gniewko began his career at Lazard Freres, the investment banking firm, where he designed and implemented data analysis and reporting systems that integrated multiple data sources and made trading desk processes more efficient. In addition to his analysis and reporting work at Lazard, Gniewko used data mining and statistical Factor Analysis methods to enhance the company's mortgage-backed security prepayment model. His work helped the fixed-income portfolio weather the mortgage prepayment wave of the late '90s. He also created and managed the IT department of a fast-growing retail distributor, upgrading the company's technology infrastructure from stand alone workstations to a complete network with multiple servers, MS SQL database, Navision enterprise management software and reliable backup systems.
Gniewko has also managed two web companies, focusing on designing technology and data infrastructure assets to support the firms' business strategy. He set up data collection and analysis systems to obtain actionable business intelligence from user activity on the websites, ultimately increasing company revenue more than ten-fold. In addition, he created processes and systems for testing and optimizing various elements of online content, with the goal of promoting desired activity on the site (e.g. registrations, purchases, etc.).
Gniewko has a BA in Physics from Harvard, and an MS in Molecular Biology from MIT.
