The Analytics Pathway™
We apply analytical methods to help clients make strategic decisions, and measure the impact of these strategies. The Analytics Pathway™ includes recommending strategies using statistical analysis, implementing and monitoring strategies using analytics to measure their impact, and training the client in analytical tools and methodologies.
Companies struggle with analytics for multiple reasons that range from insufficient expertise to failure to define the most important analytical questions. Technological advances have made large volumes of information easier to handle, but many companies are unable to leverage information to maximize business benefits. We help companies utilize data that they already collect or can easily access to make optimal resource allocations for growth and improve existing operations while reducing costs on inefficient business processes
Our work on The Analytics Pathway typically involves:
- Clarification of the structure of strategic decisions to make them amenable to analysis
- Integration of data from multiple sources
- Development of strategies based on statistical analysis of large volumes of data
- Presentation of analysis visually to make it easier to understand and act upon
- Implementation of fact-based strategies, using rigorous analytics to measure the progress and impact of these strategies
- Distribution of analysis and reports securely across departments and among agencies
- Management of statistical models and tools as key information assets
- Development of the client’s skills in analytics and helping create an elite team of analysts
Typical analytical applications include customer profitability analysis, customer segmentation, resource allocation models, multiple regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, results optimization and activity-base costing (ABC).
In addition to solving client problems analytically, we also educate the client in analytics-driven methodologies. Unlike the “black box” approach many consultants take to analysis, our transparent process enables faster knowledge transfer and development of lasting client capabilities.
